Degraded and abased beyond redemption, Colin the Loyal trades his sanity, his brother, and his dignity for a shameful vendetta, demeaning his character until he is emptiness revered.

Ryrie McCabe of the clan McLeod, a woman of Colin’s past he never thought to see again, looks beyond his meaningless life. She gives him a reason to believe in redemption.

When the Gray Legion tips the scale of treachery, Colin is ready to martyr his soul for her and never—ever regret it.

In medieval England, during a time of political unrest, plots of treason turn deadly in the conclusion of a knight’s saga…

Rowan the McLeod is well known for his seductive conquests until the day he meets Lady Adara of HieLach from the borderlands. She is a woman of strength and a warrior in her own right. His fascination for her goes deeper than her healer skills or how she rides her massive beast of a horse. She embodies the one beauty he promises himself he will never succumb to—love and marriage.

Lady Adara’s life has been shaken, and she shoulders many responsibilities beyond a normal mistress. As the keeper of HieLach, her home is a refuge against an enemy known as the Gray Legion. She abides as guardian, a protector, and a healer, fortifying hopes and dreams with shelter, food, and safety. A secret keeps her bound in silence, yet the day her beloved knight goes missing, she must accept that she cannot handle everything herself.

Rowan alters Adara’s perception of happiness, showing her that life can be lived inside the shadows. As the Gray Legion vibrato abounds in a life-threatening ensemble, courage and love testify under the darkest threat and every choice is put on the line.

Guest Post: “Spotlight” Author, Harmony Kent

As RAVE REVIEWS BOOK CLUB PROFILES, PROMOTES & PROPELS Indie Authors, I’m hosting Author, Harmony Kent today. Join me in welcoming her as she travels on her Blog Tour…

Hi there! This is the tenth day of my RRBC Spotlight blog tour. You can find details of all my stops here.

Whew! What a whirlwind this tour has been . . . great fun!

I feel truly blessed to have had the life I’ve had. It hasn’t always been easy, and at times I have embraced the dark arms of despair. Funny really, because all the time all I had to do was look up. Things were never as completely black as I thought they were.

I made it, though. And, I am a stronger person for all of those myriad experiences. I couldn’t be the writer I am today without them. Without having gone through the mire and come out the other side. Some of the magic I have found in my life, sneaks into my writing and enriches it in countless ways.

Despite the hard knocks, I did try my hand at writing again in my early twenties, but it never amounted to anything. I just didn’t have the confidence, or the life experience. The timing just wasn’t right. When I entered the Buddhist temple and took monastic vows, I believed my efforts at becoming an author were over for good.

The irony of life. I strongly believe that the universe has a great sense of humour. It took those years of being cloistered away, and of giving up everything, to find my whole world. I had to give up my freedom in order to find the greatest freedom I have ever known.

What came out of that washing machine, was a confident and complete woman. If not for those years, I could never have survived the life changing injury anywhere nearly as well as I have. In addition, I discovered a newly enriched creative streak, that refused to take no for an answer. I had no choice but to give it free reign, even though I wasn’t necessarily planning to publish what emerged.

But, oh boy, what a ride! I was amazed at what came out of my fingertips and appeared on the computer screen. As I sat and read, I was in awe, and could only ask: Did I write that? Really? So, I took the plunge and made my work public. I haven’t looked back.

Books to one side, though, the very best thing to come out of the decision to become a published author is the great folks and friends I have met during my online journey. Some of whom are: Queen of Spades (founder of The Review Board), and YCorrea (found of All Author’s Magazine). But, most of all, the wonderful people at Rave Reviews Book Club have given me so much. Especially the governing board, who give up so much of their time, completely free, to help the club and its members flourish and grow.

Being a writer can be a lonely road, full of pitfalls. And, believe me, I fallen down a few of those craters. However, finding goods folks like these is immeasurably helpful. And, seeing the benefits I have received, I can do nothing other than to pay it forward.

Very soon after emerging onto the indie scene, I discovered I had a lot to learn. I also discovered the importance of promotion, and how difficult it was for indie authors to get themselves out there. As soon as I saw this huge need, I geared my blog and subsequent website up to supporting authors any way I can. What I love about Rave Reviews Book Club is that they echo this philosophy of support exactly. And, joining together, we can achieve so much more than going it alone.

Two years on from my fresh start at forty, I have just published my 3rd book. And my middle book, The Glade, has received the IndieBRAG Medallion! I couldn’t be happier. I am busy with editing and proofreading work for my fellow writers, and even busier offering reviews. Not to mention, continuing to write my next masterpiece!

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read my post.

For information on my latest book, please read on.

3D-Book cover Elemental Earth

Elemental Earth (Book 1 of The Mysteries)

Young Adult Fantasy Fiction

“You turned the god of gnomes into a garden ornament?”

Sarah looked closely, but couldn’t tell if her dad was annoyed or amused—perhaps he was both …

Whilst 15 year old Sarah may be struggling to regain her feet, after being ripped from her everyday mundane life and ending up in a whole new dimension, she still knows how to have a bit of fun along the way. The Earth Elemental isn’t the only one whose feathers she manages to ruffle, and it’s only been four days. Meanwhile, her best friend is missing, and big trouble is brewing. She soon has a lot more to worry about than what happened to her phone or iPod, or even how much of an idiot Caleb obviously thinks she is.

Elemental Earth is the first book in The Mysteries series, and is aimed at Young Adults. Even if you’ve already reached an age where the young ones might call you ‘old enough’, if you’re still young at heart then you’re bound to enjoy these books just as much as the next—err—younger adult.

Age aside, perhaps we should be more worried about what further havoc Sarah’s antics might be about to wreak on the universe as we know it? We’d probably all be sleeping a lot more soundly if she’d only stuck to applied maths and the odd pillow fight. But no, sadly the lure of the proverbial rabbit hole proved just a tad too much. And now she’s taken the plunge, there’s no turning back.

BLOG TOUR Announcement – The Nysein: Salvation ~ Oct. 12 – 18 ~

Nysein.Salvation BookTour

CLOSED: Thank you to all who participated!! 🙂

Hosted by Dreams Come True Promotions

I’m happy to announce the Blog Tour for The Nysein: Salvation, Immortal Stain Series (Book 1) is HERE!!! With the help and wonderful assistance of Dreams Come True Promotions, everything is set. A cool giveaway is mixed into the event. There are 3 ebook copies of The Nysein: Salvation up for grabs and… a $20 Amazon Gift card. Do you know the vampires on the Isle of Serey? Check them out… The Nysein: A few centuries ago, control became an issue abounding in a war like no other. The vampires and necromancers reigned sovereign in the shadows of eerie night. They prophesied a new era…a new breed of enhanced vampire no one on earth had ever seen…

A wasting disease marks the Nysein race after King Darién seeks vengeance upon his mother’s murderers. Every day he chokes on loneliness and past mistakes as another innocent victim dies without hope. His only salvation lies in a whispered curse, immersed in an ancient mating ritual. An idea so repulsive, he can’t imagine ever fulfilling…mating for life with a woman he’s never met, half human, half vampire. With one look upon the half-breed’s face, his rationality plummets.
For scholarly beauty Jenera Cole, life moves in slow motion, another strike against her…another disappointment. She is unaware of her immortal destiny until fate traps her inside an otherworldly hell, however, a stranger appears within her supernatural prison…a man with seductive eyes and an incredible power. Destiny isn’t only a word, it is the source of the Nysein magic, and Jenera must accept her fate. She must lay claim to the lost King as secrets bury them, lies unite them, and a prophecy comes true…

“Jenera.” He reached for her, but she stumbled back further from him. How did he know her name? She hadn’t told him. She trembled in fright; scared to understand. “Don’t touch me!” The King of the Nysein never begged anything for anyone in his life, but he was ready. Darién sank to his knees before her in the inky sand, offering submission, his pride even the last shred of his dignity to make her understand. “Please be calm. I would never hurt you,” he whispered, the husk of his voice carried on the sweet air. Her heart hammered in her chest as she tried to make sense of him. “Then take me home and I will give you my trust.” Fire greater than his own ability burned through him. He could give her anything, but that. “It’s no longer possible.” A dark laugh escaped her. “Impossible? I demand it.” Darién moved to his feet in an instant, defying gravity and pulled Jenera into his arms faster than she could blink, her face mere inches from his. Her jasmine scented skin provoked his senses to riot, clenching an overwhelming desire deep within him. He had her…in his arms, her lush body sweetly curved to fit every hard muscle of his. Nothing upon nothing ever felt this wonderful. “I can give you the entire world kelis—my beautiful one. I will even give my life, if you summon such a will. But, the one thing I will never do is let you go.”
