Going it solo…with style!

All my bags are packed I’m ready to go I’m standin’ here outside your door I hate to wake you up to say goodbye But the dawn is breakin’ it’s early morn The taxi’s waitin’ he’s blowin’ his horn Already I’m so lonesome I could die
So kiss me and smile for me Tell me that you’ll wait for me Hold me like you’ll never let me go Cause I’m leavin’ on a jet plane – Leaving on a jet plane by John Denver

I like this song so much.  I’m always reminded of the movie “Armageddon” where the team sang as they were leaving for space to save the world!  Awesome! 🙂
In a few days, I’m headed on my own journey–not to save the world, but close enough. Perhaps the song “I’ll be home for Christmas” would be more accurate, but I’m sure I’ll be the girl as above…complete with music and laptop in hand.  Are you traveling this holiday season?  What are some of your must haves?  Here’s a few of mine…

Gum? Check.
Toothpaste? Check.
Camera? Check.
Passport and Ticket? Check.
Laptop? Check.
Plenty of e-books? Check.
Extra underwear? Check.
My Converse? Check.
Sense of adventure? Double check.

What’s waiting for me?  A family of smiles and hugs I haven’t seen in a few years.  I will continue to post to my blog, but it may be delayed due to travel.  If you’re traveling this holiday season, be safe and have fun! 🙂

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  Mark Twain
